Motswiri Ketumetse
Camp can accommodate private
groups of up to 6 (or possibly 8) guests in four luxury custom designed
tents - each furnished with double
or twin, high quality, three-quarter
beds, comfortably layered with fine cotton linen. Styled along the
lines of Botswana's first luxury
safari camps, the large custom
designed tents are erected at ground level and tucked under ancient
Leadwood trees. Shaded verandas look
onto the Selinda Spillway
and the forested banks beyond.
The outdoor bathrooms are en suite and accessed through the rear of the tent. An open air shower, flush toilet, vanity basin, and plenty of hot and cold water complete the amenities.
Each tent is furnished to take care of a guest's every need with a simplicity that is unpretentious yet comfortable.
CAMP DESCRIPTION
The main living area of the camp consists of a comfortable, traditional 'mess' tent. Here, the intimate dining area and small lounge compliment each other further enhancing the ambience of an exclusive safari.
Set apart from the mess tent is the open-air bar and boma campfire that look out over the spillway waters. This is the camp's central gathering point where a chilled glass of wine is sipped before dinner or afternoon tea is taken prior to heading out on an activity. All refreshments, estate wines, soft drinks, mineral water, local beverages and beer are included in your daily tariff.
When the floodwaters have receded, the camp maintains a small waterhole where a sunken hide can provide some interesting sightings at close quarters.
LAUNDRY
Laundry is done on a daily basis and is included in the daily tariff.
ELECTRICTY
Although the camp lighting is powered by a solar charged 12 volt system, the camp is equipped with a small back-up generator which serves all of our other power requirements. It only runs for a few hours a day, when guests are out of camp so that our guests can enjoy the peace and tranquillity that they come to Africa to experience.
Video and camera batteries can be charged by our staff whilst the generator is running. The power standard in Africa is 220 volt, so please make sure that your equipment is compatible. Although we have a selection of converters in camp, we recommend you bring one with you to be on the safe side. It may also come in handy whilst visiting other safari destinations. It is advisable to bring a spare set of batteries so they can charge while you are out of camp on activities.
